Not one to be confined to just one genre or style of artistic expression, Landa Gherrá releases his most controversial work to date in “Chu’ch Folk”. The track, which was originally written in 2005 as a spoken word piece, was morphed into a song over the past decade where he wrote, produced, arranged, played, and performed all of the instruments and vocal parts. “Chu’ch Folk” rewrites the boundaries of where an artist can go—not only musically and artistically, but in its lyrical content. “Chu’ch Folk” pushes the proverbial envelope, tearing away at the sometimes stagnant sound of today’s Rap, Hip-Hop, and Gospel genres, while forging a new path for cutting-edge artists who dare to follow suit. The song was written and composed to be a mirror to us all, especially those of us who consider ourselves to be Christians and Believers. It is both a conversation starter and a debate finisher.
